As one of the City’s premium events, the renowned Minnawarra Art Awards showcase some of Western Australia’s most prestigious artists. The Awards include a beautifully curated exhibition showcasing a variety of mediums.
Tactile tours are offered on request to facilitate enjoyment of the artworks through dialogue and touch. These tours have been created to introduce participants with a disability to the Minnawarra Art Awards and to maximise inclusion so everyone can experience this exhibition in meaningful and engaging ways.

Looking for a new piece of art? Look no further! Armadale Society of Artists (ASA) Pop-Up-Shop is giving away a free original artwork each day of the Armadale Arts Festival. To be in the running, all you have to do is pick up a voucher from the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre or the Minnawarra Art Awards Exhibition at the Armadale District Hall and drop it into the raffle box at the ASA Pop-Up-Shop. In the town of Wagga Wagga during the 1930s, mill workers began to sew jute flour bags together with a packing needle and twine to create blankets for keeping warm. Over the years, women added pieces of clothing, old cloth and padding and the 'domestic Wagga' was born.
This group exhibition celebrates the humble textile Wagga: its history, new beginning and creative uprising. Proudly brought to you by Waterwheel Gallery and the wonderful women of the Unfinished Object Creatives (UFOs).
