A Musical Patchwork

8 May at 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm

Event Categories:
$20 – $25

A variety show celebrating world music and dance, A Musical Patchwork brings together performers who are from Armadale as well as across the Perth region.

This variety show includes children from Willandra Primary school belonging to their Indigenous choir and who will collaborate with CSO when they sing “We Are Australian” in their indigenous language. Special guests are exceptional solo performers Cathie Travers on piano accordion and Ian Simpson on Banjo. Their careers have delighted audiences across the world and we are privileged to have them as our guest artists.

Hosts of the event, the Classic Sounds Orchestra, presents well-known orchestral works that include El Condor Pasa (Peru, Chris Horgan on whistles), Les Miserables (France), and Cinema Paradiso (Italy). CSO welcomes English-style Morris Dancers “The Mad Tatters,” Irish Dancers from “Celtic Academy” dancing to Lord of the Dance, the rich tone of Gavin Grace from Arts vs. Depression, the soulful voices of “The Vanuatu Singers” and the comedy act from Roleystone Theatre who will perform “The Praying Mantis Wedding.”

Presented by Classic Sounds Orchestra and supported by Kelvale Medical Group, Lotterywest, 2nd Chance Op Shop and Bendigo Bank.
