Indigo Dye Workshop

Discover the magic of dyeing your very own indigo scarves in this special workshop which will teach you the basic techniques of Japanese Shibori dyeing. You will learn how to create beautiful, unique patterns in an indigo dye vat by binding, stitching, folding, twisting and compressing certain areas of fabric to form a dye resistance.

Tutor and textile artist Charlene O’Brien, a graduate from the London College of Fashion, established the internationally acclaimed fashion brand Tierra Ecologia in 2002 and has evolved the lifestyle concept into Cob Designs. The brand specialises in sustainably made clothing and products that support micro businesses globally.

ARC Artist Retail Collective Armadale is a not-for-profit organisation formed to promote local art and artists in the Armadale region. Centrally located in the Jull St Mall, ARC Armadale is a creative community hub that offers an attractive exhibition gallery, arts retail outlet, artist workshop space and creative art courses. The gallery showcases a range of quality art work including paintings, prints and cards, glassware, sculpture, metalwork, woodwork, textiles, clothing, jewellery, accessories such as scarves, wraps, handbags, cushions, and gift packs, furniture and other home wares. The ARC Teahouse café also offers a great space for community gatherings and performances.
